The co-owners
Action Playgrounds, Inc. is a Tennessee corporation run by the two people who founded it. They oversee each project themselves — from the first site walk to the last bolt.
Co-founder and co-owner · Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI)
Johnathon has more than 30 years in outdoor construction and holds the Certified Playground Safety Inspector credential, so the safety standards are his department on every job. Off the clock he farms and spends time with his family.
Co-founder and co-owner · construction and operations
Luis runs the construction and operations side, drawing on years of managing crews and projects. Before playgrounds he worked in law enforcement, and he holds a master’s rank in martial arts — which shows in how he runs a job site: disciplined, on schedule, nothing left loose.
Why we do it
“We believe every child deserves a playground where they can safely and freely explore, learn, and play.”
That line opens how the company describes itself, and the rest follows from it: safety first, playgrounds built to last, and long relationships with the churches, schools, HOAs and parks they build for. Their goal, as they put it, is that “great playgrounds not only create good neighbors, but also great neighborhoods.”
